looking for a

Plant Manager (Germany)

Job description:

  • Plan and organise work of production departments to ensure that objectives and targets are achieved at maximum efficiency and within budgeted costs
  • Assure the achievement of the BlueGEN® Quality standards according with the Assurance Quality Manager instructions
  • Oversee the production process and organize a production schedule, including amendments when required
  • Coordinate production planning, plant layout and quality control to support forecast volume
  • Coordinate supplies schedule to ensure timely product manufacture
  • Manage introduction of new products to the existing and/or new production lines in a lean manner  
  • Develop plans and actions for forecast volume growth in SPG
  • Estimate costs and resources to plan and support forecast production
  • Monitor product quality and implement and maintain control programs necessary to gain and sustain product certifications 
  • Assist with selection and training of production and manufacturing staff
  • In a growing team environment, strive to create and maintain a cohesive, dynamic and skillful team  where openness and respect for each other will be cherished  
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are enforced and compliant to in all areas of the production process
  • Undertake and enforce safe work practices

Qualification and Experience:

  • Tertiary technical qualification such as engineering, science or a related technical discipline
  • Strong track record in coordinating complex assignments within an industrial environment
  • Demonstrated experience in running a successful, harmonious production team
  • Sound people skills to communicate at all levels within the business
  • Sound experience in monitoring products standards and cost reduction programs
  • Advanced computer skills, with literacy in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Driving license

Attributes:

The principal attributes required to be successful in this role will include:

  • Knowledge of all main Lean Manufacturing technicalities (Pull system, TPM, KanBan, Value Stream Analysis, etc.)
  • Strong organisational skills to manage a team and ensure maximum production efficiency
  • Strong technical skills with aptitude to quickly develop proficiency and understanding of SPG product features
  • Extensive experience in production processes and process control
  • Leadership and communication skills to effectively supervise a team of production and manufacturing professionals
  • Able to communicate effectively and concisely at all organisation levels from technical/production to senior management
  • Conflict management, decision making and negotiation skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities
  • Flexible in availability to contact staff in different time zones, for example between Europe and Australia
  • Ability to work effectively individually and also within a team environment
  • Sound multi-lingual oral and written language skills:
    Fluent in English and German, additional other European languages will be highly regarded
  • Strong commercial understanding of business requirements and the importance of key clients

The R&D facilities in Australia are expanding, and we have an excellent opportunity for a Saftey and Quality coordinator to join our team.

We are looking for a Quality and Safety Coordinator who will be responsible for providing operational and independent advisory support to the organisation in the development, implementation, assessment and review of a comprehensive Safety and Quality management plan which emphasises a risk based approach to safety and quality in the workplace.  

Key duties and responsibilities: 

  • To develop, implement and continuously improve, through management and staff involvement, the safety, quality and risk management policies and procedures.
  • To ensure accidents and incidents are recorded, investigated and corrective actions implemented.
  • To ensure that risk assessments and safety audits are being conducted, and identified improvements are implemented, to ensure compliance to OH&S system and policies
  • To coordinate and document OHS committee meetings
  • To develop and present training programs on health and safety issues including hazard management
  • To ensure that policies, procedures, forms and templates are developed, reviewed and maintained to ISO and the organisation's standards

Qualifications and experience: 

  • Demonstrated experience in applying Operational OHS and Quality Management knowledge in a manufacturing or R&D environment
  • Formal Qualifications in OHS and Quality Management
  • Demonstrated skills in development and implementation of safety and quality systems, policies and procedures and a clear understanding of risk management principles
  • Auditor qualifications or experience in Safety and/or Quality Audits
  • Proven ability to facilitate/develop risk assessments
  • Proven ability in return to work and injury management.

You will be well organised with strong communication and documentation skills including attention to detail and timeliness. You will demonstrate diplomacy and be an effective team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to think outside the box. In this role you will be expected to articulate safety, quality and risk requirements in a succinct manner, consult, negotiate and implement improvements to safety and quality systems.

Key Account Manager (UK)

Role:

Build and expand the current market for Fuel-cell micro CHP in the UK. The technology will be aimed at any SME or large residential building that is using in excess of 10,000 KWh of electricity per year.

The market is vast, retail has been successful in other parts of Europe, with both residential, SME as well as housing associations, housing developers and energy suppliers.

You’ll also be expected to expand the distribution and installer network across the UK.

The role will be home based with travel throughout the UK and occasionally other EU countries as required.

Skills:

  • Experience in selling renewable energy products such as solar,  small scale power generation units, micro CHP and heat pumps
  • A proven track record of sales success of 5 + years in relevant sectors / industries
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Self starter
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work from home with minimal supervision
  • Strong interest in the UK energy markets, with a particular emphasis on low carbon technologies

Remuneration:

A competitive base salary will be offered plus a lucrative commission structure.  The role will be offered on an initial 1 year fixed term contract.

This will be the groups’ second hire in the UK and offers a great chance to shape and build an organisation here in the UK.

The R&D facilities in Australia are expanding, and we have an excellent opportunity for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a major role in systems development, developing new products and implementation, testing and commissioning to increase performance and reduce cost of fuel cell stacks and systems.

KEY Duties & Responsibilities

The successful applicants will be responsible for:

  • Design, test, commission and document systems for SOFC Stack and Balance of Plant (BoP). 
  • Design, test, commission and document sub-systems used in SOFC. 
  • Design, test, commission and document test equipment used for testing systems and sub-systems. 
  • Investigate new concepts and cost down strategies.  
  • Training & guiding technicians.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or engineering experience relevant to the duties mentioned above.  
  • 5 years of industry experience in an engineering environment, ideally in design and development of heat exchangers/burners and steam generators for commercial small scale applications. 
  • Experience in designing, testing, commissioning and documenting test equipment 
  • Good organizational and workshop practices. 
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software. 
  • Experience in the field of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells will be a plus.

  • Use of ECR / ECN system to update models, drawings, and procedures for the development of new products and maintenance of existing product.

Qualifications and experience: 

  • A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering or industrial design
  • A minimum of two years design related experience  
  • Demonstrate significant experience using SolidWorks modelling software.
  • Experience in an engineering/product development environment and a track record of developing well engineered volume products.
  • Experience in the field of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells will be a plus
